The internal coil on our cars, arte they any good? I've closed up the plug gap to .030 on only 8 psi and still get a hickup up top. Fuel pressure is good, brand new cobra maf with jwt tune, new fuel filter etc. if they are s*** than I was thinking of going external coil but am not sure about the wiring. The cap mod is a no brainer. Any help would be great.

I donno, I haven't had any complaints about my internal coil, seems to be up to the task... But I'm running a T25 @ 1bar currently.

I did notice a slightly pop once when I was playing around with no muffler (open exhaust), but I attributed that to running overly rich (I was still working on tuning).

My misfire is at about 5500 to 6000 and I litteraly cannot go to red line without it stumbling and missing. I have no codes and otherwise drives great. Its only at higher rpm under boost when it does it. Ive boost leak tested my system all the way up to 1.5 bar with no leaks so I know that's not it. Come on guys keep it coming! I lost to a honda with no turbo last night! Lol

Got a wideband O2 sensor you could put on it, see what kind of fueling it's getting as you get to that RPM?
Being a JWT, I'd bet it's just way too much fuel.

Not for this car but I know all about rich misfires with my other car and its not the same as this. I have everything setup stock like it says to for the jwt ecu. Nismo fpr to lower fuel pressure back to stock after my z32 fuel pump swap, timing is dead on 15° and I have the exact injectors and maf for the tune. I have a 240sx with a very built sr and haven't had half the problems as with this car and 3 times the boost. I'm gonna go gap the plugs to like .025 and see what happens. Brb. I'm still interested in the wiring for an external coil with using the stock transister in the dizzy.

Ok now new problem...when the car is starting to warm up but not quite at opperating temp I can floor this sucker and it wont go anywhere! I have to push the clutch in and get the rpms to rev and then I can get going. Once the engine "frees up" it will start to boost. I was thinking clogged cat or maybe bad turbo being an exhaust restriction but it doesnt make much sense to me. Also it seems the more the engine heats up the more vacuum I loose....but it doesnt do it all the time. Sometimes vacuum is still good after a long drive. What are some symptoms of a cat that is going out?

This a US spec SR20 or JDM? If US spec, you may have some EGR problems. IACV valve may also be a culprit. I ventured away from JWT tunes many years ago and can't be happier. You may want to look in Nistune or find a Calum ECU.

Dude I'm having the exact same problem with my b13. As soon as I hit boost it starts misfiring really bad, cant rev it much farther once it starts popping. I didnt get to see it run smoothly, as when I got the car it had a spun rod bearing and did not run. I rebuilt the engine, it boosted fine the first few times but now it misfires in any gear once boost hits. I was almost thinking that the engine's grounds werent sufficient, thats what I'm going to try next.

My car has a JWT tune, 550's and a cobra maf.

Hope you figure it out so I can learn from your experience.

Its a usdm sr20de-turbod. I, found the problem! So needless to say I will never buy a car that some one else has built. Lol. The last person used a autozone cobra maf and ebay injectors. The maf I thought was the problem, but after swapping it out with my buddies oem cobra it didnt make a difference. I did some research on the injectors that were in it, and they were no name ebay injectors. People say that injectors are in injectors......wrong. the part number on the injectors came back to the generic 50 lb injectors made by delfi. I bought legit msd injectors meant for jwt's tune and the car runs amazing! The thing that lead me to believe it was the injectors was if I turned the fuel pressure up, (45-50) instead of the car trying to run rich, it would just try to die.
