High rev tuners

I'm sure people have talked about this before but it's annoying the crap out of me. Flippin through the channels a couple minutes ago and see some cars and chicks, oh its High Rev Tuners. Every time i see this show it gets under my skin. Most annoying part was them talkin about a civic at some show. -Paraphrase- " this civic goes all out, starts off with a carbon fiber hood, engine swap, strut bar, cold air, wheels but the hottest part about it are these exterior graphis that really set it off." Cant stand stuff like this like adding a couple stickers is more impressive than an engine swap. Yea it was a civic but they still have potential and an engine swap is always impressive. I jsut had to vent.

i saw that show too, and its so annoying, all they talk about is civics. "ok, now here is a civic that has everthing, custom paint job, carbon fiber wing, the whole deal!" the only good thing i ever saw of any value was about a really hot chick that had a civic and everything was shaved and her license plate said "i shave"

lmao! I saw that show too! And it just happened to be an episode where they took a trip to APC and did a review of its products...stupid. Yeah I agree with you s0ldats, the hosts don't even know what they're talking about. Its like fast and the furious tv.

it's sponsored by APC for goodnes sack. What the hell do you accpec! All the cars theat they do are rice the ppl are idiots. I don't even know why they even put that in the line up. They should just stick wit autocross!

I hope that Primeda's version; 2NRS TV (or what ever its going to be called) doesn't suck as much as High Rev Tuners. High Rev Tuners is basically a 30min commercial for Zex, Ford Focus and APC. There is no real depth to the content of the show. They do show some kewl cars from time to time, but don’t elaborate on what all has been done to the cars (aside from shaving door handles, putting on body kits and neon lights). I saw one episode that had a Nissan Skyline, an NSX and a WRX in the show. They covered these three cars in 5min flat, discussing nothing about what was under the hood of these cars or what they would do. If I ran that show, it would take 3 episodes on each car to do them justice. I prefer to call High Rev Tuners, "ADD TV." Since they flip from one topic to another.Lets just wait and see what Primedia's show will be like. Hopefully they will stick with the performance aspect of cars.

Please don't tease the monkeys. They did have a trivia question on there one time. What was the 240 in japan. I don't know, A WHOLE DIFFERENT CAR? @s$.

We need shows like Option and Best Motoring in this country, shows that do real justice to our cars and cars in general. All this "cosmetic performance" crap is gona make me do something violent if something doesn't change.

As has already been said, the stupid hosts read off of a dialogue and it's obvious that although they are saying the words, they lack the comprehension to truly understand what they are talking about.

Ahhhh this thread again. I saw this show after I saw this thread the first time. I wanted to start a thread in every forum and every fourm section I knew, telling everyone that high rev tuners sucks! I was watching it and they had this sweet lexus that this guy turbo charged to like 500 hp. The girl interviewing him was more interested in the Carbon Fiber dash than the bodykit from japan or the engine!

Primedia makes SCC does it not?

Are you guys joking, I love that show, I love how they do 30 second run downs of the real cars and 5 min interviews with all of the ricers, I love ricers and I love APC, APC is the best and i dont know why you all are doggin on them just because they supply the ricers with what they need to be unorginal and un unique, you guys are so way out of line. Uhhhh.... I hate these forums now. Bye foever!

I just hate how they use the camerea, they swivle and zoom in and out, and move around all at the same time. and yes the crap they say is really annoying too...

never seen high rev (i dont get the speed channel:( )

im gonna try and catch super 2nr this weekend to see if its any good. (comes on at 12:30pm on saturday and 12pm on sunday so its not as early as i thought)

your right primedia makes SCC. they also do Super Street (aka ricer boy monthly), Import tuner (the other ricer boy monthly), turbo (cars mortal men/women cant touch), honda tuner (suprising not that ricey and lots of good engine swap articles if your into hondas), european car (some pricey cars in here), VW Trends (if you like air cooled VWs), Truckin(if you like slammed trucks on dubs), off-road(if you like jacked up 4x4s), and a few more.

i think there are only 2 mag publishers that are bigger. Hachette (they do car & driver and road & track and hundreds more), and EMAP peterson (they do motortrend and tons of others)

You forgot their oldest and best magazine of all, Hot Rod Magazine. Even though there are no sport compacts in the magazine or show, its still a great read.
