High pitched squeal

I have an extremely annoying high pitched squeal on start up if my AC is running. I can turn of the AC and it will stop. After a minute or two I can turn it back on and no squeal, got any ideas. I have a 2004 Maxima

well that sounds like your A/C compressor. try spraying some WD40 or another good lube in there?

The belt could be too loose or too tight-have you triedadjusting with the tensioner bolt?
