car: manual 93 240sx non SE no abs

When I hold a right turn, I hear a high pitch sound (almost sounds like a whistling sound) coming from the left rear of the car. It wasn't my tires screeching. I don't know what that sound is. Any help appreciated!

Check your brakes for pad wear and debris, and make sure all your bushings are in order. Squealing is metal on metal contact 9 times out of 10.

Amoe thanks for responding:

I'll check, and try to get you updated. Oh also, I just changed the front strut rod with bushings (OEM) I forgot to include that but the sound is coming from the rear, so I don't think that has something to do with it.

I just relubed the front bearings. I didn't have time to do the back.Does the back have bearings too?

only in a right turn? if it were bearings, i'd think it would be in either right or left turn. i'm leaning to the break wear indicator which is probly just starting to touch on the right rear inside pad. if you check your bearings too, start with the left rear, and make sure you repack em nice n messy. personally, i would also look for anything else that might rub, or be close enough to rub in a turn, concentrate on the right rear for that one
