Where can I get them. I am going to have my motor rebuilt very shortly and thought maybe I should do these at the same time, then later on just throw on some cams and rev out to 9krpm. Does anyone know if Ferrea or Crower or any of those brands make them???? please help.

There should be a few sets of the tomei valve springs on ebay. Or else you could email dee about his super top secret valvesprings that he can get.

So which ones do I get, or can I get any valves, springs, and retainers from a VG30DETT. Let me know I need to order these things ASAP. I want to be able to rev to 9krpm. I will be installing cams at a later date so i know stock cams wont make power that high but since I am getting head rebuilt might as well get these things installed now than later, cams I can just pop off valve covers and do it myself, springs retainers valves are more complicated.

Contact Jim Wolf Technology and they'll sell you set for around $240ish U.S. That model would be VG30 with DOHC engines (preferrably DET).

Now do I ask for CA parts or do I ask for VG30 parts? Also 240ish what does that include? Is it just springs and retainers, or are valves included? Also when I order, do I just buy a kit for the VG and have spares or can I buy individually? Sorry for the many questions but you seem to know the most about this topic.

I just want a head that will be able to rev to 9krpm no problems? Will stock valves handle 9krpm or should I upgrade those as well?

Thanks for any information you may provide me with.

As for springs and retainers, you don't really need those unless yours are damaged, so save your dollars. And as for the springs, ask for Ben and tell him you want valve springs for the CA18DET. They will send you 16 of them and they are Heavy Duty springs for the VG30 dual overhead cam series. Remember, do not ask for VG30 springs or you'll make things confusing. And the price is around $240 for just the springs (they aren't cheap).

Those are high performance springs that will fit our cars. Like I stated in my previous post, why fix something that isn't broken. These items on these engines were designed for extreme duty. If you have concerns, when your machinist or you tear down the engine, have them inspected very well for wear, cracks, and fatigue. I doubt they'll need changing. I've never changed mine and none have never failed.

as dee said, just call up JWT, ben is on vacation, but just tell em you need 16 VG30DETT valve springs for your CA18. if the person your talking to is confused, tell them to ask jordan, thats me. i will package up what you want. these are not oem, they are uprated for performance applications, and they donot include retainers as you dont need them, the stock ones are plenty strong.
