I've been trying to find a good higher amp alternator (aftermarket or transplant) to put into my 240 but haven't been having any luck. I saw the Quest one which looked good, but that's only 110 amps. Assuming electric fans, HID's, a stereo that's on full blast even at stoplights, a police scanner, a cb, an alarm, a radar detector, a 110 watt DC-DC computer psu, and an optima y-top to feed, will this be enough? Even if it is, more can't hurt, right? But I can't find anything higher than 90-95 amp made for the 240. What I did find is 150-180 for 95-97 altimas. Those are ka's right? Would that be a direct bolt on?

did you guys ever figure this out? I would like to know too.My alternator just went on my 98 Altima and I want to get a high output alternator for my 92 240sx, so I was thinking if I got an aftermarket HO alternator for my 240sx, then I could prob. swap my old alternator to the Altima?

Anybody have any idea?
