searched for a bit tonight, but dont really understand the benifits or disadvatages between high or low impendance injectors. im guessing that low impendance are easier to find, but DeatschWerks has relased 1000, 1200, 1400, and 1500 cc injectors that are high impendance. so i really wanna know what the benifits of going low impendance is?
Thanks

the main difference are saturated and peak and hold.

low impedance are peak and hold....meaning the electrical signal spikes to a high current signal to open the injector and holds at a low current signal to hold the injector open. they open and close faster then a saturated injector.

high impedance are saturated...meaning the electrical signal is a steady low current signal to both open the injector and hold it open. the down side is the trigger time or opening and closing of the injector is much slower. the up side is the low current signal makes for a cooler running injectors and thus more reliable

it would be alot more friendly for your rb25 to get high impediance injectors since thats what comes on the rb25 stock. if you switch to low impediance you will need to wire in a fuel injector resistor box for them to work properly unless your standalone has the ability to run either.

ah, makes more sence now. well, im sure that the vi-pec or even the haltech systems that im looking at support both, that im guessing i'll have to do some more checkin up on that.

which haltech are you looking at? i believe most of them can run either from the e6x on.

even if you have to wire in resistors it's not hard at all. i just grabbed the resistor pack from a v6 accord, or you can use the resistor pack from jsut about any other 6 cylinder on the planet
