Hit a mileage milestone yesterday, and happened to have the camera. No evil things happened to me.:icesangel

I set the camera on the steering wheel, while cruising in the left lane, and the whole picture is kinda cool. You can see the sky, some traffic ahead, and all the dash panel data.

2400 RPM at 77 MPH, temp alittle below mid way, a little over 1/4 tank of gas, cruise light on.

Actually was light out, while driving. (I have been going in at 5:00 AM, and leaving around 10:00 PM lately).:(

Hopefully, by Thanksgiving, things will slow down a bit. THen I can return to my normal 10 to 12 hour days.

The 200,000 mile begins to be high mileage. Haven't seen too many 300k Q [on the same engine] but a few here are getting close............we had a 94Q customer with 296,300 last week.

222,222 was an interesting day for me about 2 years ago, 333,333 is very doubtful [without new top rings].

At my current rate of driving, I should hit 222,222 miles around October 1, 2004.

My goal is to keep the car until October 2005, where is will be really close to 300,000 miles. Then, I will take over the I30t, from my wife, and put her in a G35 AWD, or maybe a new M56 (if there is one).

The only way to keep the per mile cost down [rubber seal/hose/bushing deterioration] is to drive a lot.

Same with tires 2 years exposure is 2 years exposure [after the first reheat cycle].

wow...all these high mileage Q's. I was planning on taking a pic of my Q when it hit 60,000. Right now, it's just a hair under 59,000.

Thanks, definitely will do. Unless something drastic happens, either way, I have scheduled the purchase of a low mileage Silver or Black 2003 or 2004 G35 Coupe MT6 Aero package with the Brembo kit, around October 2005.

A new friend of mine from church, just got back into the high-end car market. He deals exclusively with Porsche, and nothing older tahn 2001, if possible. He and a couple of partners have a shop in Georgia, where they swap Boxter engines, for the 911 engines, and do many other high performance mods to Porshce. They buy most of their cars at auctions in South Florida. Don't know much more than that, but I offered myself to help drive any cars from the auctions to the lots, for him. He used to do this same thing, in the LA area (I don't mean lower Alabama).

No need for Porsche's in LA, unless you can use 'em to go Shrimpin'.

When I lived in Lower Alabama (and you couldn't get much lower), my Dad worked for a Pontiac/MB dealer. I couldn't believe how many people didn't know what an MB was, in the mid '80s.

I'm able to honestly tell my kids I had to walk 3 miles to the bus stop down a dirt road :). They'd never believe me if I said it was in the snow :(.

Just hit the 120k mark....the miles are piling up fast. I'm putting on about 100 miles a day during the week.....Fortunately I live about 10 minutes from the Fla Turnpike, and my job is about 5 minutes from the exit, so 95% of it is at 85 - 120mph. I hate putting the miles on like this, but I couldn't think of a better way of doing it...My co-workers think it's a bummer, I let them think that, but I love it and look forward to going to the races everyday. The car is incredible. I beat cars costing $50,000 more than mine all the time.

Any one else putting on this kind of mileage?---------------------------------------------------

96Q/ total mobil1, changed very frequently:icesangel

Yeah, love those monthly oil changes.

1000 miles a week in my '94 Q, and loving every mile!

Had to sell a kidney, last Thursday, but now I'll have gas money 'til Christmas.:D

22 MPG at 77 MPH 72 miles each way, and 65 are all interstate. The rest of the miles are all local.

On a Q, mileage is really irrelevant...... It depends on maintenance.... For instance, my 94 with 120k is probably in better condition than some other ones with say 90k.......

I love putting miles on the Q.... its the only way im gonna get my moneys worth from it!!!!
