High Mileage

Would it be worth buying a shell that has 200,xxx miles on it to swap my engine into? if not what would you guys recomend as the max milage for a project like that. Reason is im having trouble finding too many and i need a cheap shell with motor still in it for parts. Also how likely do you guys think it would be for my ka to be damaged in a crash that cracked the distributer? no damage visible on the block though.

It depends on the shell. My s13 has 225,xxx and is in very good condition. I would certainly put a motor in it if it needed it. As to the crash, I really doubt you would have damaged the actual engine. Some accessories perhaps, but not the engine itself. Can't say for sure though w/o seeing it. If you're doubtful, consult a trusted mechanic.

My s13 has 235k and is in excellent condition. The front is dinged up, but I too would not hesitate to swap in a new motor (if the 25k mile sohc in there decides to go soon).
