I took his Q to the redline, in April .elwesso wrote:

Have you taken it up to the redline recently?
Very busy at work, so not as much time to fart around on the internet. Car is doing well, but time for rotors/pads all around, new front shocks, and maybe check out odd fuel pressure problem.... so my Q is still a Q.AZhitman wrote:

Good to see you man!
Interesting... do you know what happened to the engine? Chain guides? That would be one of the earliest documented failures. Also, why was a used engine installed? The car should have been well within factory warranty at that point.hondasmasher123 wrote: My dad bought him in 94 with 55K miles and blew the engine the next day..The engine was replaced with a 93 model engine (have recipt w/vin from prior car) with 5K miles..
Especially for those who bought brand new or low mile cars- kind of tough to purchase a 8-9-15 year old Q that has been thru 3-4-5-7 owners with high miles and expect sudden use of premium fluids and agressive maintenance to undo years of wear from less than stellar previous owners. Why so many new owners of old Q become frustrated and throw in the towel as all systems begin to fail before their time.maxnix wrote:Fresh fluids and filters and preventative maintenance can lead to a long and satisfying life for your G50.
