In case anyone has any doubts that their Q will not make it much past 200,000 or even 300,000 miles.......

1990 Infinity q45 - $1500 (pittsburg / antioch)

I am selling this 1990 Infinity q45. It runs beautiful just changed the Radiator and Steering bands. Got this car two years ago with brand new transimission. 678,XXX MILES. 8 Cylinder. Only flaws in this car is passenger window wont go up, busted right light head, and no stereo and probably needs new speakers. Im willing to negotiate! hit me up on my e-mail.

I spoke with the owner today to see if the mileage was a typo....... it's not. He bought the car about 3 years ago with close to 300k on the odometer and a new transmission. He commutes about 120 miles/day and says he's taken it everywhere with no real problems. Never had to replace an injector and it has a current smog certificate so it's ready to sell. As ugly as it is I'm thinking about buying it (if the price comes down considerably) just for the novelty of driving an Infiniti with close to 700,000 miles.

That's awesome. It's really not that surprising especially considering it's in California where "cancer" is a lot less rampant...

If you do buy it - write a letter to Infiniti/Nissan corporate (a higher up or multiple higher ups)... I'd be interested to hear their response or even get a letter back.

With a fresh paint job that car would be Infiniti commercial ready. I'm thinking of the old toyota commercials.

Over 3 years, that's just 130K additional miles, assuming he commutes every single day of every year.

Where did the extra 240K miles come from?

I was thinking of going down to sinking spring PA for this Q. its a 94 with 37k on it. I actually offered $3300 cash and they said they $4800 is bottom dollar. If they would budge to $3800 I would take it. I might have offered $1k for the 1990. on the way. I would pay him just for a pic and a test.

Paul! You want to go in on this?

Many low mileage are popping up this year for some reason... I need to splurge!

I noticed that their ad lists "Regular Unleaded" as the fuel type.

I am having a REAL hard time seeing how he could have bought the car 3 years ago with 300,000 miles on it,and then put close to 400,000 miles on it in only 3 years ?????? That is 130,000 miles of driving per year for all 3 years he owned it????

I also did the math and figure he's driving an average of 1000 miles every 3 days. If he's getting 20mpg and spending $4/gallon for gas (both conservative numbers) then he's spending about $24,000/year just for fuel. Driving that much and working 8hrs/day doesn't leave much time for sleep. Something sounds fishy. After thinking about it for a few days I've decided that I don't need another money pit parked in the driveway and am going to pass on this one.
