I was looking at a high milage car in order to keep my costs down. I started the other post about a 2006 m45 with 80,000 miles. The car has excellent maintenance records. I am getting rid of my landcruiser with almost 200,000 miles.I know I can spend in the low 20's with a car that has 40-50k miles on it but I wanted to try and keep it to the high teens. I can spend more but was trying to be smart and keep my costs down.I am looking at infiniti, lexus , acura. I have owned a few infinitis with high miles that never had any problems.I just wanted to get some of your thoughts about the m45 with higher miles that seem to be highway miles.Just wondering why you guys thought it was a bad idea or just that the price was too high. I told the dealer I was walking and he called me back 10 min later dropping the price another $500 making the asking price $18500. Again I just am interested in your opinions. Thanks and have a happy sunday, Don't forget to do your V Day shopping, got to keep those wives happy.

Yes, I had replied to your other post. 80k miles for a Nissan/Infiniti product is not bad, however, the price is VERY high.

Personally, I would not do a PENNY over $16,000 assuming the car needs NOTHING (no brakes, tires, heck not even an oil change). IMHO.

All I can say is, the resale value on these cars are horrible!

Chiro, that dealer should be able to come down another $1500-$2500. Don't go around in circles with the guy. Tell him what you are willing to pay and leave it at that! Do not leave a cushoin on the table for the salesman to rebuttal on. Give it to him straight and tell him if it cannot be met, your going to look at this other M45 you seen for sale with a lot less miles for a few thousand more.Good luck and let us know how it goes.

J
