High idle when a/c is on - 1800 rpm

I just bought this car last week 300 zx 2+2 . It had no compressor. I replaced it - pumped down the system - charged it - works great except for the high idle when its on. I tried to adjust the idle at the throttle area with no results - it would stall if I reduced it when it wasn't on. I live in Florida. -during the day I have to have it on. I need some advice on this one - Thanks

check your IACV and make sure the 2 clips are both on, and both on the right connector. Mine were switched from a shop that did some wiring work and it did the same thing. Switched the connectors and it fixed the idle problem mine had with the heat...
