i had a problem with horrible missing and idle, etc and found the problem to be a leaking coupling on my boost piping. problem fixed. now the thing works great except that my iacv never turns off!!! maybe the computer learned that it needed to stay on because of the horrible hesitation??? i idle at 2000 rpm and up. no matter how warm my car gets. if i unplug the thing it goes instantly back to my standard idle. is the iacv broken or something? all of a sudden? or should i reset the ecu, im not sure it learns that though.

The IACV always works to supply air to the engine when the throttle is closed otherwise the engine would stall.

Have you tried cleaning the IACV and its connector?

Do that and reset the ECU.

You can also look in the service manual for any other procedure that need to be performed to correct the problem: http://Nicoclub.com/FSM
