high idle

ok i just changed my front crank seal had to pull out my radator and fans to get the puller in there but anyways i put everything back togther and cranked it its pretty cold out but it reved up to about 3-4k and it stayed there for awhile i went to turn it off and it stayed running what could be the cause of this

Did you plug the MAF back up? That was my first guess.
