High Idle
I have this weird idling problem which just started 2 days ago. I park in underground so my car doesnt get frost on it but it still can get cold down there. I went to warm it up and usually it starts to idle at 1400ish and comes eventually down to the first line on the temp gauge at 900ish then idles at 750, but this time it shot rite up to 1500ish and didnt come down, when it reach the first line on the temp gauge it was still idling at 1400. I drove it for a bit and whenever I came to a complete stop it would idle at 1000 and bounce to 1100 and come back to 1000 then bounce again to 1100. This is when it is still cold in the morning. Later that day when it was getting warmer out it acted perfectly fin, warmed up like normal, and then it idled at 750 and stayed there, didnt bounce or anything, now today it did the exact same, in the morning it warmed up idling at 1400 and wouldnt come down, then when it was normal temp would idle at 1000-1100 ish, and this was in the morning, later that day it was perfectly fine again? Is something sticking because of the cold weather, or might it be something having to do with a temp sensor or something like that? Im getting really bad gas mileage because of this.Thanks in advance.
