high idle

my car idles inconsistantly anywhere from 1200 to 2000 rpm and the throtle is as low as it goes. it used to idle around 800 and it jumped up even though i didnt do anything to the car whatsoever when it happened. any ideas?

i had a similar problem...check if you have any loose ecu wires.

chek for ecm codes first, if there no codes then check for air leaks in throtlebody, manifold and vacum related parts...
