My idle was originally at 1200, then I cleaned the IACV and id assume I broke it because idle went up to 1800.

so today I replaced it with a brand new one from nissan and now its at 1600. and using the adjustment screw i can get it down to 1200 again. however that is fully closed (counterclockwise) and when decelerating it wants to stall with it fully closed like that, so I turned the screw until I got it to go to 750-800RPM when decelerating but when at full stop its at 1700 again.

I cleaned the butterfly plate in the throttle body so its not that sticking, but i'm now completely out of ideas as to what it is.

This is on KA24E stock engine and everything on the car is stock, except the catalytic converter is swapped for resonator

My thought is somewhere there is a vacuum leak, whether in the rubber hoses connecting to the part, or on another vacuum line attaching to the the intake manifold. Maybe you bumped and old line and it cracked while working on the IACV. Check over the lines and replace them if they're old and brittle, they could have a crack you cant even see in them. Good Luck

Feel along the vacuum lines with your fingers all the way around the hose with the engine running. As you pass over a leak your finger should temporarily block it and your idle speed will drop.

squeeze the air regulator hose when car is warmed up. it should be closed and squeezing it should not affect idle.

Mine is just like urs high idle but mine started after i ran seaform through it and i can't seem to find an external leak im thinking that it could be an internal leak. let me know what you find cuz its really starting to piss me off.
