My idle was reset on my car by following the steps in the shop manual.

The problem is that it idles around 1200 rpms when warm. It doesn't stumble or fluctuate (its actually more stable now than before the turbo install)

I'm wondering if I can lower the idle without any ill effects like a stumbling idle or rich condition or should I just leave it as is.

I'm running a JWT ECU and Z32 MAF.

I'm assuming you have your timing adjusted correctly?

If so, there's a screw on the idle air control valve on the back side of the intake manifold. Turn the large Philips screw IN to decrease the rpm and OUT to increase. If I have it backwards, it will be obvious...lol. Adjusting the idle that way will have no effect on the ecu. Assuming the TPS and Timing are set to factory specs.
