Does anyone have any experience with high idle after warm-up? I've consulted the manual, and think I've narrowed it down to the air regulator. I tried swapping it out, and it didn't work. Cleaning the electrical contacts seemed to work momentarily, but then it went right back up to 2500.If i pinch the hose before the regulator, the idle speed drops. If I remove the hose after the regulator, and lose the vaccuum, it dies.

if that dosn't fix it get your self a can of brake clean and start spraying it around hoses and the intake looking for a vacum leak

If you pinch the Aux Air Valve hose shut, it's pretty much proof the valve isn't working. It takes a minute or more to completely close when it does work which allows the engine to warm up a bit by adding extra air as if the throttle was open a bit.Take the valve off, and look through it. You should see a crescent shaped bit of light showing which indicates it's open. Now connect 12 volts to the 2 terminals and wait a couple minutes. You should now not see any light. If this is the case, then you have a connector or wiring harness issue.

To adjust your base idle, make sure the engine is up to operating temperature, unplug the AAC valve, then turn the screw on the side until it settles at about 625. Plug it back in and it should go to about 650 to 700, then you know the AAC is functioning. That solenoid sometimes quits working, or the assembly becomes gummed up with oil over the years. Take it off and give it a thorough cleaning as well as test the solenoid. !2 volts touched to the terminals should make it click. It's a vital part of the system so it's worth ensuring it's operational. PS - you will likely need a new gasket if you remove it.

Hi I'm having the same issue with high idle. Usually sits at 1400 to 1600 rpm's only on warmer days and when the car has fully warmed up.. The odd part is if I step of the gas and let off real quick the rpm's will drop back down to normal. Tried cleaning and adjusting both throttle bodies and replaced my tps. Any thoughts?

make sure base timing is set to 15° btdc. then calibrate the tps to 0.44volts and then set idle air. must be in this exact sequence

You can also have the throttles sticking in the tb's because of carbon buildup, and which acts exactly as you mentioned and gets worse over time as the buildup gets moreso. Removing the hardpipes and opening the butterflies and holding open with screwdriver while wiping clean with carb cleaner soaked rag is best solution there.
