what have to tried so far? if you already have a thread about this subject, why did you start another? a little more info would probably help ppl diagnois your problem.

i think its the o2 sensor but i just put a new one on i guess it could be bad...I have changed temp sensor,tps,maf,o2,cleaned aiv, installed safc2,havent installed fpr yet..will do tomorrow. today i had a ray of hope the car was idling rock solid at 900 rpm's and the a/f gauge was actually working and then it stopped working and it started running rich again so i would say another bad o2...i am going to try and rig up a switch to stimulate the o2 and see if it makes a difference

I was just reading and i havent even thought about maybe having a short in the harness on the signal wire and it does make sense because this is my 3rd "bad" o2...i think i will check the ohms on the signal wire

i think you should get a multi meter and a fsm and poke around, make sure your getting the voltages and resistances you should be before you just go swapping parts all over the place. also, what a/f gauge do you have? is it that autometer one with the lights or is it accually a real wideband? the autometer one will just bounce around because your stock o2 sensor is a narrowband and just bounces from 0 to 1v. you did say that the gauge just reads full rich so the short in the o2 could be possible.

stop throwing money away and do some diagnostics.

sweet...found the problem...cranked the car today after checking some stuff to do with o2 and it acted the same where it was idling really high and running super rich...i started looking under the hood and took the tape off the signal wire from the o2 and i seen that 1 single strand of wire from the shield was connected into the clamp on the signal wire so i pulled it out and all of a sudden the car just dropped the idle to 900-1000 rpm's, and is running stoch on the gauge. so i am guessing that the shield was interrupting the signal coming to the ecu..
