Here is my problem, please help... I am idleing between 1300- 2000 rpm's...even when its warm. The idle adjusting screw only adjusts the idle around 100 rpms...its closed all the way ( I disconnected the aac, the adjusted the idle screw, then hooked it up again) I just installed the ka24de throttle body, and using my s-afc, adjusted the TPS so that it would read 0% at idle and 100% at full throttle... I am not sure what is going on. Do I need to disconnect my battery and let everything reset? If anybody has an idea of what this could be...I am open to suggestions and comments... and if you want to IM me i am Tweaktac on AIM... or email me at [email protected] , anyway...please help!thanx,Troy

You have a nice vacuum leak seomwhere! If not and your car runs fine, you'll have to adjust the throttle lever stopper located on the T/body and you usually can find the throttle lever resting on it at idle.

IAC is for women who freak out if their idle changes after the car warms up anyways :|

Hey everyone, thanx for the advice... I found why it was idleing so high... when i took out the carbon canister i put a cap over it... well on the bottom of the cap there was a large crack so it was sucking air through that. My idle still sits at about a 1100 and the idle adjustment screw is all the way in and the throttle plate is closed, So i am still wondering why it is soo high...I will try to adjust the throttle stoppage lever to see if that will help... thank you to everyone for the advice...

make sure you haven't over-tightened the throttle cable nuts that adjust the tension / position of the cable relative to the TB..

when putting my KA24E back together my friend and I had it too tight at first, it idle'd high and when I tapped the gas it wouldn't go back down w/o lifting the pedal :D

I actually had a really loose gas pedal when we first put it back together.... we ended up widing the spring around one more time so the thing snaps back down pretty hard now...so my pedal is nice and stiff....thanx though
