Hi there! Yesterday i was giving the air intake system some love since i haven't cleaned it in a looong time. Took out K&N air filter and cleaned it with the recharge kit. While it was drying i decided to clean the MAF as well with some CRC Maf cleaner spray. I also cleaned the MAF plug and connector since it had dialectric grease and i remember reading somewhere that dialectric grease on maf connectors give erratic readings. I also cleaned the dialectric grease from the O2 sensors plugs as well. After all was said and done i reinstalled everything and went to start the car. Started up good and gave it a good rev to make sure everything was good. Later that night i went to buy some food when i noticed that its idle was fine when you first start it up and after you accelerate and drive for a while it would start to idle real high( 1.5k - 1.8k ) so i decided to go back home to check it out. Cleaned all the connectors again and put everything back together and it still had high idle. So i thought maybe i put a little too much filter oil on the air filter so i removed the air filter and see if it made any difference which it didn't. I already have my eye on the IACV and will take it out tomorrow to have a look at it. Anything else i should take a look at? Heres a video of it so you can have a better understanding: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPpr1wnbBVI

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How soon after you cleaned the filter did you start it up? Might have coated the MAF with oil, especially if you put too much on. You might have to clean it with MAF cleaner again and then the IACV too like you said.

As far as the dielectric grease giving weird readings, my MAF sensor connector is filed with it and works fine. :gotme

I left the filter outside to dry for a whole day before i installed everything back together so im pretty sure it was dry. I also cleaned the MAF again just to be on the safe side and it still idles to high. I cleaned the IACV yesterday and a lot of crap and goo came out of it. Figured that was the problem. Reinstalled everything but still the same. I tried adjusting the idle using this guide how-to-properly-adjust-your-idle-t477131.html but when i disconnect the yellow plug the idle does not lower but i can still adjust it using the screw. Maybe the AAC valve went bad??? Anyway, tomorrow im gonna check the TPS and Coolant Temp sensor. Anything else i should take a look at?

Update: The problem went away on its own. I guess it was just a stuck AAC solenoid but now the car idles smooth.
