skylinesaustralia is where you'll find a Dyno thread. But the answer your looking for is No, the RB's cannot handle the power the 2JZ can. But then again I just got an RB25 long block for $500 .Usdm 2jz long blocks are almost $2k.

I have an RB25, but you can take your RB26 over to Supraforums.com for some competition.

gentlemen.... Back a few years ago when i was okinawa, japan. I knew of plenty of skyline r33's (rb25det) that were rolling on 19's making about 450-600 hp with some freaking huge TURBO'S. Unfortunatly, none are documented on the U.S. sites. But those guys would haul *** every night up and down hwy 58. So yes there are proven r33 rb25det's making huge numbers. Yet, do not expect 800hp out of the stock block. Those were highly modded rb25dets. but for anything in english check out skylinedownunder.com you should find some there to answer your inquiries. ohh... and for sure the 26 vs the 2jz. We all know that those damn 2jz's are good for 800-1000hp with the stock bottom end. The 26's are very capable but you have to do some modding as well.

In the rb26 powered b12 (?) drag car, i believe their making like 940 hp and 1100 tq on the stock block... I believe thats just slightly under what the 2jz has hit as well.

I would like to know the highest recorded HP though, with both motors... it would be interesting.. Oh and the rb20 too hahah. woot for the rb20

There are a lot of 600whp stock engine supras out there. The most I know of is 980whp stock long block. The 2jz has forged pistons that have a coating on the skirt area (ala swain tech), forged rods and a Metal head gasket. AFAIK all RB's have cast pistons and organic Headgaskets.
