WOW 3 years is quite good life for aftermarket replacements, they are built so cheaply to just get thru an emission test......most only have a 25,000 mile warranty.

Why not try and find a low mileage junk Q45 or J30 and salvage those.. Good build quality and even better flow!!! a Q45 cat should be suficient for your J30....

Diamond - I have Magnaflow high-flow cats for the Q... No cheap junk.

Do you need them to be bolt-in (flanged) or weld-in?

i just had some car sound magnaflows on it.are they the same thing.they would be welded in hitman.they would last longer, but she runs a little fast in the rpm department,,hehe.so who makes the magnaflow hitman, and how much..the shopi had do last time wants 150 a side for new installed,i could swear i got a way better deal last time, but i lost my reciept somehow.my lawyers got it ,dont ask.cause i was under servelance and it was in a box i was caring.it was the only thing in the box cause they wouldnt give me my oem cats back,so i took a box with me when i had it done to put them in.then i got home and they filmed me caring empty box,lol..so thats how my lawyer got it.boy i was caring about a few onces,lol.idiots.got a disabled parkin placard yesterday, come on.funny stuff

Wow - I'm desperately trying to follow your posts, bro.

Here's what I can answer for you so far: Magnaflow makes their own cats. CarSound is a seperate (cheapo) company.

I'm not sure what you mean on changing your downpiping, we make a set of "test-pipes" (for off road use only) that eliminate the cats, but I think you'd be better off just replacing with the high-flow Magnaflow units.

hitman,im not as clear as i once was, sorry,.hard for me to read my own writing, lol.im forgetin how to spell pretty fast too.anywaY.what i mean by downpiping is the pipe between the header and cat...some componies make downpipes with cats on them..1 unit, but i think id rather have mine seperate, how much are test pipes,i might just do that,test..my glasspacks keep the car toned down pretty good.shoot me a pm hitman with the price for the magnaflows and the pipe ,,no hurry hitman,be 2 weeks till payday, only get paid once a month on pention..thanks hitman.

Car Sound is the parent company of MagnaFlow.

You can pick up Car Sound converters on Ebay for less than $60 each.

Ah, I see...

I have nothing for the J30.

Sorry Diamond - I kinda thought it was you, but the talk of the Q45 earlier threw me off.

Good to see you on board.
