Anyone know if this is just a test pipe with some stuff on it or a real cat. i read some of the feed backs and it looks like just a testpipe or glasspack type thing. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...59271

anyways, i was looking for some good high-flow cats and i know HT sells Catco ones but does anyone else know of good sites or place to get one?

That's a testpipe my friend.

It's looks pretty good too, they even put brackets on it so you can put your catalytic converter heatshield on it so cops don't see it.

If you have an old cat, it will give you a good amount of power to have a test pipe....it wouldn't be that crazy to get close to 8 horsepower, especially if you are turbo

but that is definitely a really really high flow cat if i have ever seen one.

are you sr20'd or turbo'd? i think bigger gains are made with turbo cars when you replace the stock cat with a test pipe so you probly woudnt have too much of a gain if your NA

nope, running the KA NA. i think i'd have to do a lot of All motor work to see the gains for an NA car. if my car was revving high and moving a lot of air, i htink it would help.

nope...only s14s do. And still dunno what those brackets on top of the test pipe is for. How would you take apart your cat cover to bolt it on there?

you might use the dust/heat shield. i think it bolts on with those facing down and you just put the stuff on it.

and yeah, my test pipe didnt make my car too much louder. the header did though. love that low growl sound.
