eh... are these any good?

Looks like it's just a straight pipe with nothing in it; i've got a horrid exhaust rattle noise thing that sounds ghetto like 1700 - 2500 rpm.. Figured by replacing the old one I would 1) get rid of the rattle [if its coming from the shields] and 2) a little better power

p.s. Fuzion, that guy is a clown. He's been selling cheap Chinese-made crap on eBay for a long time.

Doesn't even have the good sense to have someone check his "Engrish". :rolleyes

No sense in buying an inferior catalytic converter. Price a Nissan one, which flows less but is good quality, then call me up.

You are correct that an old clogged cat can really kill performance and fuel economy.

AZ about those cats- are they the universal fit type deals, or with flanges?

$200 is a great price for OEM part, and they are a good choice. A little restrictive, but better than the cheap stuff. Don't buy the 'ebay' cats.... lots of inferior stuff out there.

Most of ours are Magnaflow. They are weld-in.

Catco seems like a popular choice, and they aren't too expensive. Not sure about the quality. Anyone have experience with those?

I'm also in need of a replacement cat, since mine is beginning to get a bit stinky.

Catco is a good brand too. I've got a 3" catco on my ride now. Works great and that's also what HT sells for 3" catalytics. I know alot of mr2 guys use catco as well when they try to smog their jdm engines. lol
