High End Alarm - thieves suck

Now that my car isnt stock... I would like to invest in an alarm. I didnt have one on my CRX cuzz it was a stripped, stereoless, POS-lookin car. Anyhow... what are some really good units.

What about a proximity alarm?

I had the same happen to my honda accord thats why the first thing i bought for my 240 was a Viper ESP 500. Im happy with it but nothing is gonna stop a theif it they really want your car, you can only try to detour them.

haha very true. i have a brand new aladdin a2000 alarm which ill sell you for 200 bucks. it was for my 00 si, but i sold it. i agree, killswitch is the only true alarm. if a theif is good enough, hell get your car. simple as that. you could rig up like 2 pushbuttons to your ignition, james bond style. like one under the seat and another in your center consol. haha just an idea.

Yeah alarms are a waste, your better off spending the money on ways to disable your car like a kill switch which was mentioned or one of those unbreakable auto locks that locks up your brake/clutch instead of the steering wheel one of my friends lost the keys to it and he was able to get it off finally, with air tools and time! Oh and a viper alarm decal with a blinking light on the dashwon't hurt either:pface!

you can actually buy a small transmiter/reciever kit that you can build, to do simple functions, and it has a control pad like an alarm system, you can build it, then hook it up to a few super bright LEDs, then get an alarm sticker that should deter most thiefs!!! but make a kill switch...

Anything that disables the ignition / electrical system like a kill switch is a good idea. Especially if you get a fuel pump that you can switch off. As someone said though, if a thief wants your car... they'll just pull up in a flatbed and drive away with it. That's one of the reasons why I make my room mate park behind me in the driveway... so they can't get it out.

I want to get an alarm with a recording of my voice, hooked up to PA that says something like, "Get the F***!!! away from my F***ing!!! car!!!" and just repeats it again and again. I figure people would look over at something like that a lot sooner than the same old beep-beep-bwooop-bwooop kind of alarm.
