OK Fellow gear heads I have a question for those care to awnser....I hear a rumor of a high compression ka24(d)e motor, from what i understand it is the bottom half of a ka24e motor and the top half of a ka24de motor. Can any one give me more info on this build, am i right wrong about this? What is necessary for this?

See I have an S13 240 and it is dead! i am guessing a rod or something like that but its winter here in ohio and i dont have a shop! i am looking to build this High compression motor instead of rebuilding it stock!

You should trying searching & looking @ the KA24DE sub-forum...

If you just want high compression, you can jsut put SOHC pistons in your DOHC engine, and you'll have approximately 11:1 compression ratio if I remember correctly.
