Ive got my KA24de Pulled and stripped down, im considering the 11.1 pistions form an ka24e but i have a few questions..

1. Do i need any thing besides an safc for fuel mgmt? (injectors pump etc)2. I live in iowa and 92-3 octanes is readily availible, thats plenty for 11.1 right?3. Do i need to give specific insructions to my machinist when he has my block?

When you take your block to the machinist, bring the pistons with you. If you are using 'used' SOHC pistons, they are the same diameter (bore) as your current pistons (89mm), so no boring with be necessary, just a good hone (although since its at the machine shop, i would have him replace all the freeze plugs and clean the whole thing up). If they are replacement pistons of a larger bore, he should be able to bore the block to accommodate. And yes, 92 and 93 ocatane should do you up until 11.6:1 CR before you start to detonate. As far as fuel management, i dont know. My stock ECU can keep up with my 10.5:1 JE's and Nismo R4 cam. Best bet is to get an air/fuel ratio gauge and see if you are running too lean or rich before pumping loads of cash into expensive gagets.

No. Unless you're going to break 200rwhp, stock injectors and pump will be fine.

AFC isn't needed either...you won't gain much power N/A by tuning fuel.

http://www.raceeng.com has 89.5 in 10.5:1. I'm still debating whether I want to go high comp or be satisfied with stock internals

JE can custom forge any size or compression you want. My 10.5:1 89.5mm pistons ran about $160 each. And it took about a month for them to make them.

I just finished my swap with the 89 pistons 11.6 to 1 compression. It will ping like a mother F*&#er if you have the timing up very high and if you have it low it bogs pretty bad. So I have to run 93 octane with $6 "off street legal" 2 point booster. It still pings if you go full throttle when rpms are below 2500 in 3rd 4th or 5th gear. so if you do the swap be prepared to spend a lot of dinero$$$$$
