after wrapping up my high-compression KA install, it did't fire up.after trying lots of things, we checked compression, and it goes like this:1: 0, 2: 125, 3: 165, 4: 125

so... what's the deal?at first i thought i screwed up putting in the pistons. maybe, maybe not.or maybe it's the timing.

here's the lower chain:

and the upper chain:note: i'm using 2 exhaust cams, that's why the intake one is rotated 4 teeth

any ideas?

Considering stock compression is 179, I'd say something is wrong. It couldn't be your cams that's causing the really low compression, or it would be that way on every cylinder. Did you replace your headgasket?

Driftaholic, those numbers look mighty familiar...are you Art's friend? He was asking me about that last night. Try using a stock intake cam and see if that fires up, but before you do that, get a new head gasket unless you're getting stuff blown by the pistons.

do a leakdown test and see where that compression is going.

What is th e valve clearence set at? 0 compression is a valve that is not hitting the seat or a piston that is broke...

I would also try the stock DE cams and see if that fixes your problem.
