Higer Speed speometer 115mph+

Is there any speedometer replacement for 89 240sx SE hatch ? The 115mph one isnt going to cut it ! Is there one that will go higher ?

I would say search but I got nothing better to do, so just go to 240sx.org an go to group buys an im pretty sure its under interior an they have 180mph speedos but there not cheap.

180mph is too much IMHO. I think ideally it should be around 150-160....

I always wondered if there was any way to modify the signal from the speed sensor so that everything (ie:the ecu and speedo) would think you were going slower. Then you could read of the kmh side or replace it with a jdm gauge. Anybody know the specifics of how the signal works?

The back of the speedometer is marked something like "1024Hz 60mph" Find the tach singal, put a divider inline and recalibrate away! There probably is a way to cahnge the Hz/MPH internally as well. I haven't taken apart my speedo to check.

I'm thinkin' those 180mph speedos look a lot like JDM speedos that go to 180 km/h. I'd be willing to bet that that company takes factory models, refaces them, recalibrates them, and sells them for a nice profit. If I could only figure out how they do it, we'd all have 180mph speedos.
