HIDs on silvia J's headlights... anyone done it?

Has anyone put HIDs on the silvia J's (brick style) headlights? I was thinking of picking some up and maybe see a little bit better at night since my lights don't light up worth ****. But I don't want to spend $350 on a set of HIDs if they won't help illuminate the road significantly better. I was thinking since they are non projector, it may be a waste of money? Please correct me if I'm wrong

You can always retrofit with projectors. But if thats the case you should get the projector ones since it blends in better. As for the brick ones you should try to look for hid reflector cars. Such as the G35, I35, LS400, Acura TL, etc. You can still retain stock look but have HIDs that don't glare people.
