Has anyone been able to figure out some way to use an H1 HID setup in the GTS-T projector headlights? The way it stands now, there is no retaining ring that would hold the HID in place; that piece is attached to the plug for the halogen bulb.

Can anyone help here?

I'm not looking to do something as extensive as a retrofit right now. Don't have that kind of money or time.

Then put some bright halogen bulbs in your stock projectors. HID projectors are completely different than halogen projectors and you will end up with horrendous cutoff, bad glare, and ****ty actual light output onto the road.

This man has his information correct.

HIDplanet.com will easily be able to answer all your questions whether it is about retro-fits or kits. You can easily do a cheap, quality retro-fit btw.

HID bulbs in non-HID projectors are for idiots only.

I agree with that 100%. Nothing worse than some yahoo with brite a$$ glare blinding you head on...

I did a true HID retrofit in a 7" round H4 headlight. I modded a BMW projector into the 7" so it fits in the OEM location in my car. Mine was hard to do, but I think your situation is a much easier install... Go for the correct way, not the lame way to get HID lighting...

I have pics in my album in link.
