So I am about to get the Stillen front fascia installed on my car. Since installing HIDs requires you to remove the front fascia of the car anyway, I am going to get the H11 6,000K low beam DDM HID Kit Slim Ballast 35W kit.

My first question is will I need the HID harness and error eliminator for my 2009 Altima 2.5S CVT?

Seond question, I am wanting to put some LED strips in place of fog lights, FOR LOOKS, cause I don't have fog lights nor actually find a real need for them (especially since I am getting HIDs for the low beams). The catch is they will be placed on the front fascia of the Stillen body kit.

I am looking at putting the LED strip below the headlights in the top hole where the left and right bottom sides have that slit seperating each hole. In the place where it is black and not painted blue in the picture above, aka the place where fog lights might typically go, I was wanting to put the Audi A6 style LED strip there. LOL, hope you get the picture.

The website says the lights are 12 inches long, now my 2nd question is will these LED lights fit where I am wanting to place them and if so, only thing I will need is to run an aftermarket wire harness to a switch through my firewall next to my steering wheel?

THanks so much in advanced to anyone that can help.

P.S. DREED been reppin on the support and answering my questions all the time, but he is busy at the moment so I figured I'd give the forums a shot LOL.. Much love DReed no h0m0 though lol. :bigthumb:

Bro there is definitly enough space to fit 12" strip there I thought you wanted the exact distance..... there was already 13.5" at the small fin that cuts the hole in half.

An yeah you just need to run a black and red wire (with a fuse box) to a rocker switch in the cabin. Steering wheel complicats things I would just put it somewhere in the cabin. Ill send you some pics of where my switches are located.

And always post your questions in the main AC section hardly anyone else reads this other stuff.... if they give you s*** tell the I gave you the seal of approval.... lol

are you hooking up those LED strip lights as DRL's?? I was looking to get a pair but to use as fog lights...wasn't sure if my 09 sedan would look good with HIDs for low beams and fog lights plus those strip lights for DRL's.....

yea i am planning on putting a strip directly under the headlights and also at the bottom left / right of the front fascia.. as DRLs. I dont have fogs on my AC and TBH i dont really need em. The leds are going to be strictly for looks.

If you install that particular LED strip above into the said location of the fascia its going to look hideous. I cant 100% tell from the pics, but the strip looks straight, no curve to it at all (maybe slight). That "fin" defintely has a curve and the strip wont match the curved lines of the fin. Its going to stick out by what I would imagine is a few inches. Now Im not sure if Im following exactly what you want to do. If you were to mount the strip recessed into the hole parallel to the front/back of the car, that would probably look sick. If that is the case I have just typed a whole lot for nothing...

I don't think those LED strips were meant to be fogs, they're more like daytime running lights
