Im just courious if any one has any pictures and or tips on how to "hide" the wires in the engine bay. Im currently starting my second project and would like to make the bay as clean as possible I am going to pull everything and repaint it white or gray to make dirty spots easily spotted. So any tips on removing the wires and fuse boxes. I have heard you just need to lengthen certain ones just like to get a better idea of which ones. If all goes well id like to turn it into a write up. Lmk

This is what I did with my s13 sr in s14 chassis: I first laid out the whole harness on the floor. Then, I took off all the tape and looming etc so that all wires were exposed and could be easily traced. I first located the ignitor plugs and followed those wires to the ecu. Then, I cut those plugs off and soldered them closer to the ecu so that the ignitor chip would be inside the car. Then, I estimated about how far away from the ecu the two windshield wiper plugs should be so that there isn't much slack coming from the firewall. At this point, I fed the harness through the firewall so that I could work on tucking the rest as shown here:

I then took the plugs for the maf/ cas and ran those underneath the runners, around the front of the head and to their proper locations. I cut off the extra slack. Then, I fed the tps, coolant temp etc plugs underneath the runners, again, eliminating slack by cutting and re-soldering. Then, I worked on each injector plug. It pretty much comes down to exposing the wires you want to tuck, moving then to where you want them, and either adding more length or taking some length. Make sure you solder the wires properly. Here's what it looked like when I was done:

I had a lot more pictures, but I can't seem to find them. Just take your time. HTH

Yea like shown above if you want to hide the wires you need to exstend the wires in the harness so you can run everything longer routes like under the intake mani or through the fender wells/frame rails

That was perfect thanks. BTW did you relocate your fuse boxes?

We did on one of the show cars we put them in the front of the fender wells away from the tires and in a sealed box.

well what we did is with the harness the comes from the driver side through the fender we took out the fuse box and disassembled it till we just had the wires and fuses. Then made a box to fit in under the battery tray on the frame rail. Then we looped all the power wires down low and ran them under the frame rail so all the wires would not be seen. The box was made with steel and sealed with calking the clear stuff.
