Turtle wax bug and tar remover takes paint mars out like nothing... Not for your car but for his. Bend over let him give you some swift kicks, then humbly ask him if you can try to remove the paint with it before going the cash or insurance route.
That is if it is just a scuff mark. If you get the paint off, and it is scratched or webbed be ready to shell some money.
I had a tool in a 91 probe cut out in front ( rolled into my lane then stopped while taking a left at a 90° from me) of me and I glazed off her blue bumper. Basically did nothing to her car, but dented some sheet metal in mine (88 gran prix) I took the cash and spent it, not on the car but the blue was bugging me. I tried the bug and tar remover and it worked nicely.
But DO TELL him, because if I where him and I found out it was you, Um put it this way... I was at the flea market and aproached my 96' to see a familly park really close to my car. I gain speed and get ready to "lay down" as I always do in this scenario. I noticed one of the tools daughters bump my car with her door. I yelled (loud enough to startle my 15 yo brother hehe) out about 10' away "yo what the F***, whatch what the f*** your doing". I expected the father to say something, but no they all just looked down like I was going to kill them (felt like it). Then I checked for damage and found none, but backed out reversed up to the car and spun dirt on to it (dirt parking lot).
Ive yelled at people on many occasions, juvi senior man woman it makes no differance.
Now if it was some 16 year old kid (or guy my age for that matter) and actually visually damaged my car, lets just say Ive been waiting to blame someone for all the dents nics and mars here and there
Dont puss out, and just tell the guy.
BTW if ytou dont tell him and the bug remover doesnt work good, I hear brake fluid works just as good if not better, especially if left on over night to help break the paint mar down.
