Passenger's side headlight (low beam HID D2R) burned out and needs replacing. Was a little surprised it was already burned out. I thought xenons lasted much longer than conventional bulbs. According to the housing, it is a 35 watt D2R bulb. Any suggestions as to where I can pick one of these up? I've seen them online for $30-$130, so I am a little confused by the huge variance in price. Also, can the bulb be replaced from inside the engine compartment, or is it replaced from underneath (remove the wheel and splash guard).

Did a little bit of research. I now realize why there is such a huge variance in price. The cheaper bulbs are generic brands. Found a pair of Philips D2R bulbs for $90. Think I'll go with those. Not sure what the OEM color temperature is, but I'm going with either 5000k or 6000k.

i can sell you my OEM ones i took out of my g35..they are D2R and i think they are rated at 4300K...and yes you do have to go through the splash guard to do the light replacement...its much easier if you take off the wheel..but its not mandatory..let me know..

Just now saw your message. Already replaced the bulbs with Philips 4300k. Look great. Thanks anyways.
