HID's or retrofit

so i just ordered a plug n play kit on ebay for 40 bucks. I'm waiting for it to be shipped so i can see what it looks like. ill post pics of before and after the install.

I was gonna do a projector retrofit but i took the quick way out. what do you guys think? retrofit or plug n play kit?

Well retrofit will obviously be better..but you gotta pay to play. I'm looking at doing a TSX retro with HIDs, for a complete set new condition depending on bulbs is like $3-400.

I'm sure ebay kit will be fine, for blinding people. What housing are you using, stock? I think they make a H4 housing with some sort of 'cut off' point for HIDs, if anything you should look into them.

yea i have stock headlights. im doing it on my s14. i was gonna do them on my s13 a while back with a h4 conversion but i ended up selling for my s13's

s14 kouki dont need retrofit, everything else i would say try it, at least get projectors

a lot of people say that you get a lot of glare with the kouki projecters with HID. i still get the same amount of glare with regular bulbs.

I have a zenki. I might go with german glass headlights but that's a lot of money compared to just my 40 dollar ebay hids lol

i put hid's in zenki headlights. there is a cut off against a wall. not much glare. i also put hid's in my EDM/JDM kouki lights and the cutoff is just the same as an actual hid projector (like s2000 or tsx ect)

i definitely wanna get some sort of nice cutoff. hopefully the hids come in the mail tomorrow before i have work so i can install them.

got the digital slim balast 4100k.

oh nice. those looked good. did you get the 35w or the 55w? i got 4300's from ebay a couple months ago and the cutoff is crisp in my edm housings. im sure yours will be fine. i love the super white look. even though they havent seen the street yet lol

theyre good man. the cutoff is almost the same to the silverstars.

i just installed the hids in my zenki. they look good. im gonna test the cutoff tomorrow. i still might do projectors but i can live with my nice 40 dollar hids lol
