The relay I have comes with a "O" connector for the negative battery terminal. This poses a problem because the bolt is not totally removed. Would it be possible to clip/cut the "O" to make it open "Y"as to attach it properly?

it doesnt necessarily have to connect to the negative terminal on the battery. i just needs to be grounded somewhere.

You sure you're twisting it all the way?

I don't remember 100% right now, but I'm almost certain that my bolt comes off all the way. Because I know mine is on the negative terminal.

Ok-I'll try this out. I am installing the grounding kit at the same time, so it should be cake to add it to one of these spots.

Thanks.

Well, I unscrewed the bolt until I felt pretty stiff resistance and it was not near disconnecting all the way. I am a little gunshy from my past experience of stripping threads and snapping off heads to go any further.
