HID problems... please help!

so not too long ago me and vegan were crusing around fullerton during the day and i had my lights on. so later that day he tells me that one of my lights was brighter than the other, and ever since its been bugging me. what can it be that makes one of the lights dimmer than the other?i have 10000k.
