I just bought an 06 Maxima SE. One bulb is blown so I wanted to go ahead and replace both sides with HID or Xenon lights. First, is HID and Xenon the same thing? If not, what is the better one to go with? What exactly do I need? If someone could steer me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

HID requires a balast and special hardware, as it uses an electric arc instead of a fillament to produce light. HID is not a plug and play system, and requires replacing much more than just the bulb. xenon bulbs would also be refering to this technology. unless you want to invest a lot of time, effort, and money, you are going to have to go with halogen.
