HID or halogen

i've got a 2003 g35 sedan with the HID setup, the only thing is that one of my brackets that holds the housing under the hood broke....can i get the halogen housing and use that, or is the conversion impossible......i'm asking because e-bay has a halogen housing up for auction!!!!

It's not a good idea to try and use a halogen housing for HID's. The reflector is different. Even if you used a HID arc capsule that places the arc similar to the Halogen's filament, the shape is quite different and may not project the correct beam pattern.

Though I am a bit confused? I thought HID's were standard on all G35s...where did they get these halogen lamp housings?
