HID not turning on

So i just installed my HIDs from DDM tuning about a month ago and ive been having problems ever since. the day that i installed them, they worked fine at first, then when i turned my car on again, with the light switch to auto, my passenger HID would not turn on. I turned the knob to headlights on then back to auto and then it turned on. This happened a few time and this trick would work most of the time. now when ever i turn on my car when its dark and the light knob is already on auto, about 30% of the time the passenger light would not turn on. now i just turn the switch to off and back to auto and that fixes it. any ideas on what is wrong?
