if you really want to spend the $1600 for the HID headlights you can get them on ultimatz.com.

heres a direct link to the page:

i dont think that its really worth the money for them... you would be better off buying halogens or something like sylvania silverstars. the clock i am not sure about.

You can either get a cheap kit off ebay or there are a lot of kits out there. As for the clock, you will just have to get another one, but a new one cost a pretty penny.

Thats what HID's are..............

Unless you want to buy the '99 JDM Xenon headlights, which are $1600.

yes i know but my point being that you should go with the kit that has the housing because HID's/ xenon's burn hotter then regular bulbs and can actually melt the plastic or can melt the sealant around the headlight housing causing them to get waterlogged whenever they are exposed to rain or fog. wouldnt be pretty either way.

Actually, they run cooler which is one reason they last longer. However... if you get one of those kits you have to be careful about glare. Most of the time halogen housings cause more glare with HID's. You either have to aim them low, modify the cutoff (in the projector), or do a retrofit using true HID projectors.

I'm not sure how the Z housing reacts to HID's but if there's any glare I'd work on getting that out because it would suck for oncoming drivers to have to go through the glare of an HID.

Yeah, they actually run a higher voltage but only take about 35 watts.

Definitely illegal, especially the "kits". Depending on the housing, they can cause quite a bit of glare to oncoming drivers. Having projectors help, but the design is still different between halogen and HID. You can sometimes modify the projector to work perfectly with an HID bulb by moving the cutoff plate, which requires taking the headlight apart. The two safest ways of doing it would be to get the HID headlights made for the Z (the expensive Nissan ones) or doing a retrofit.

Technically putting in any light that is brighter than stock is illegal but as long as there's no excessive glare you can usually get away with it without any trouble from cops.
