So I got my QX4 fixed earlier for those who remember. I had my sway bar links replaced, wheel bearings adjusted and a few other things. Anyways, I have HIDs from Slyvania for the past year and a half. My Headlights/Foglights are both rocking 8000K HIDs. I kinda wanna switch it up. I'm thinking of doing 6000K for the headlights and 12000K for the foglights. Maybe 8000K for headlights and 12000K for the foglights. Not sure yet. What do you have/recommend?

Any of these in the headlights, 5k, 6k, 8k, 10k, and 3k fogs.

If you really want to switch it up, do 3000k fogs and headlights. And i always thought about reversing it also, 3k headlights, and 6k-8k fogs.

Edit: And also dont do 12k if you want ANY useable light at all. In my audi i ran 12k in the headlight projectors for like a month, but it was mostly for show during the day, and i didnt drive much at night.

My 12k headlights you could see maybe 10 foot ahead, my 3000k hid fogs were basically lighting up the road lol.

12k in projector housing at least, looks like a deeper purple/pink.

Heres a pic, and note the white/blue drl's were just expirimental, i never got them to look OEM enough in any spot so they came off basically after that picture lol.

That looks pretty sexy lol.

I want a more white for the headlights and a blueish for fogs. It will have a nice flow to it. My friend did it to his truck and it was real nice!

That's what made me wanna switch it up. I'll take pix tomorrow to show you guys how it looks like now.

Isn't 3K too white to have 8K for the fogs? You got a pix of it?

I have 6000k on all. Just add a color tint film on the fogs if you want to change it up.

If you want white for headlights, 6000k is what you want.

And if you want to go with "blueish" for fogs, then 8k is a white/light blue, and 10k will be blue.

Its your car and you can choose the colors you want i dont have a problem with that, im just REAL big on every car i own having deep gold/yellow 3000k hids. And yellow fog-light tint.

But anyways your best bet for most light output, but a "bluer" look in your fogs would be a 6000k/8000k setup, if you dont care too much about the fog output (6000k will give you real good output up top of useable light) then do a 6000/10000k setup.
