Illegal!!!??? Only in Texas would they tell you such a thing. Most cars are equiped with HID's, so how can they say "Illegal" <-- rhetorical question.

I believe the QX4 is rated at 4000k - 4300k. My M is at 4300k.

cause that falls under the same category as window tint. you can have illegal tint as long as the car came manufactured from the factory that way. stupid, i know.

You'll notice that there aren't really any cars that come with dark tint -- it's not legal. The vehicle must be technically a truck, since it IS legal to have darker tint in the rear windows of SUVs and trucks that have rear windows (side, back window).

FUN FACT: Q: So, that's nice Rob, but how does that 'splain the Dodge Magnum, which is a car? A: I boned up on this, and the answer is that the Dodge Magnum, since it has a flat floor in the rear, is actually classified (by the epa) as an SUV / truck. I know, it's just a Chrysler 300 wagon, but I guess that's all it needs to hit that classification.
