HID Kit Recommendation

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I have a 2010 EX35 AWD, and I would like to replace the low beam (and high beam if necessary), and fog lights.

I read a few posts, and found there are too many kinds of kits available. Since I don' t know too much about this, can someone please help make some recommendations on which brand (or model), what parts and which store/website to purchase? I am in Canada, but US website should be fine.

Thanks in advance! Any comment is appreciated!

The two kits I looked at were the Morimoto 3Five system from theretrofitsource.com, and the XenonDepot Xtreme Digital kit from KBCarstuff.com.

I believe The Retrofit Source is based in Georgia, and KBCarstuff is based in Canada (outside Toronto I think).

There are lots of other kits available out there, but these two companies seem to have a pretty good reputation for solid customer service; that's why I narrowed it down to those two. I think pretty much all aftermarket kits are made in China, but I felt that I'd have a good chance of getting a problem taken care of with these two brands if one came up.

If you're looking for higher quality hardware, you'd probably have to go with parts from an OEM supplier. This would require a little bit more work when installing and the parts would very likely cost a lot more.

There's tons of info on HID upgrades on the HID Planet forums. Probably much more than you'd ever like to know :) .

I have Kensun brand HIDs in my Low beams and Fog lights. I purchased them from Kenson on amazon, and had great customer service. They have been very good HIDs too. Great color and very bright. Running 5000K in the low beams (looke like stock HID's) and 3000K In the fogs, and get a very nice yellow color.

Some updates about this.

I took NJGuy's suggestion and bought the Xtreme HID kit from KBCarStuff as I though they were in Canada (they do list a Canadian address on their website), but it seems a US website as well, and they charged US dollars.

Spent some time to watch videos and others' posts, and installed the kit, but I could not get them work with relays, so I just installed them without relays, and they are working fine right now.
