Hey I've been searching this forum and others and I couldn't really find the answer I was looking for so I hope you guys can help me. I have a 2008 Altima Coupe 3.5 with stalk HID lights.. as you already know these cars don't come with HID fog lights. I was wondering do I need a whole new HID kit for the fogs or will I be able to set them up with the stalk set up that I have now (meaning can I just replace the fog bulbs with HID bulbs). I'm looking to get a HID 35w 3000k for the fogs but I want to make sure my purchase for the kit is needed.

My other question is for my battery. My batteries that I get from nissan never seem to last long and I always see myself jump starting my car all the time so I was planning on taking out the battery from my old car (its been sitting in my eclipse for a lil over 3 years now without being used). It's a optima yellow top, the other day I charged it up for a second and it seemed to work just fine. Do you think I can just swap the batteries and do you think I'll have any problems doing so/ is it worth it / will it last? Thank you for reading this and thanks in advance for your advice.

Here's my dusty old battery:

BTW sorry I'm definitely a car noobie and I'm trying to learn :wavey:

You will need to buy and HID kit that includes a ballast as well as a wiring harness. If you know what size bulbs are in your fogs than just visit ddmtuning.com and buy the slim ballast kit, it's been great for many members!

As far as your batteries go, I hear the nissan batteries are terrible. You may be better off buying a new one but you could at least bring the yellow battery to Autozone and have them test it! It could still be functional for a while.
