So I have had my Hid for about 6 months now and I have had to replace the ballast on my right headlight a few times. I have (2) 55w HID ballast for my headlights 8000k bulbs and (2) 35w ballast for my foglights 3000k bulbs. They were working fine then my right headlight went out. I checked the fuse which was fine and the bulb is good. So I assumed the ballast. I got them to send me a new one and for the time being used the 35w foglight ballast to be able to drive at night. then that one went out. So now I am waiting on my 55w and 35w ballast. it's weird it'll go out and then it'll the next day cut back on. do you think I just need a relay harness?

1) Where did you buy the HID kit?
2) Why are you using a relay harness? Did you try installing without the harness?

I don't think OP has a harness, but he's considering one. From what I understand about harnesses, it would help. I have one that I'm not using and I'll sell it to you cheaper than whatever DDM tuning is selling there's for.

Ah yes, upon a re-read I think you're right. Well, I can say that I have never had an issue with my '08 and 4 DDM slim ballasts and I dont use a relay. Maybe he bought a cheapER eBay kit?

i had the same issue with a 55watt slim balast kit on my old car, they honored the lifetime warranty. i send them my kit and they tested for what it maybe and they sent me the kit back and replaced the harness, worked fine for a week and then the same problem again. my light never was dead but would turn on 5 minutes after the other one did. I ended up selling the car and put the oem bulbs back into it. thank god me new coupe has stock HID's only had to put them in for the fogs :woot:
